New focus on wedding dress queen in Hollywood

At the White House dinner of reporters this year, first lady Michelle Obama was in a little evening dress designed by Monique Lhuillie, which add more popularity to the personal brand of Philippine designer.

Whether you admit or not, Monique Lhuillie has become a new favorite queen of the stars in Hollywood. Her style can not be described with one sentence. Including Catherine Deneuve, Julia Roberts, Nicki Minaj, Lily Jane Collins, reach unanimous agreement on Monique Lhuillie’s design. Christine put on an evening dress of Monique Lhuillie when she made an appearance at the red carpet of Oscar this year. Not long after that, Taylor Swift was in a wine red long evening dress mad by Monique Lhuillie when she was shooting for her own brand perfume.
You might think that a famous brand will be selected by celebrities in the end. But the contrary is indeed true; Monique Lhuillie is not a high-profile brand that makes advertisement everywhere. Monique and her husband Tom Bugby founded Monique Lhuillier, a wedding dress brand in 1996. They did not open the first boutique in Los Angels until four years after that. In the later 12 years, the husband and wife made and tailored clothes in the small shop. They did not made any outdoor advertisement and buy any medium publicity. They offered no door-to-door service. All the customers who wanted to purchase wedding dress or evening dress must accommodate the designer; no matter they were celebrity or the first lady. So they have to fly to Los Angels by their own to try on, change and take their clothes. If you don’t have the patience, you had better go to other shops.Princess Prom Dresses
“I know many girls will be my repeat guests, this is my confidence in my own brand”, said Monique Lhuillie. She never disappointed the woman who walked into her shop, because she had enough sense that public praise was better than any empty advertisement.
Born in Cebu, Philippine, Monique Lhuillier was sent to study abroad by her parents. After  getting bachelor in Lausanne, Switzerland, she headed for Los Angeles to further study in Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she met her husband Tom Bugby who had the same fashion goal.
Monique Lhuillier’s loyal repeated customer has increased with each passing day in the past ten years. Nina Constantinova Dobreva was pictured in evening dress of Monique Lhuillier for four times in the same year. And there are many female stars crashed with others in Monique Lhuillie blue evening dress.
In 2000, the first year when Monique Lhuillier opened her shop, she had won the Glamorous Bridal Designer Award and again in 2001. Many wedding dress magazines gave high praise to the personal brand. They commented: the moment you put on Monique Lhuillier, you were rising to the paradise of wedding dress.

It is flattery but not overstated. For fashion designer Monique Lhuillier, her final goal is not to make wedding dress, but to build a dream.

WE-Paris Make a Difference Beach Day

001-FR13

Add caption

Wednesday, June 19, would have ordinarily been a day when the sun would show its light, even in Paris, France. But not this year, apparently. Our team of eight woke up early to take the first train to Deauville-Trouville, on the French West Coast. Taking that early train would allow us to do our volunteer work while the tide was low.
002-FR13
We all easily made our 7:30 a.m. meet-up time at the Saint-Lazare station — that is, after “battling” a huge crowd of the tube and train station during the rush hour of every Parisian’s day. The 7:45 a.m. departure time was actually a really nice time to begin a two-hour journey leading to the coastline. After 20 minutes or so of small talk in the almost empty train, it was time for each of us to take a nap, read a book or listen to music.
Around 10 a.m. we arrived at our destination to meet our Surfrider Foundation’s contact: Léa. Surfrider Europe is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to defending, saving, improving and managing in a sustainable manner the ocean, coastline, waves and the people who enjoy them. To our huge surprise, the greyness of Paris made way for an early-morning blue sky that left us amazed, because we knew the sun would be our best ally that day and it would have been a shame for it not to be part of our WE Make a Difference Day!view more
Liz Kelley
Since Liz’s time as an intern on the Technology Practice, she quickly climbed to Account Executive on Xplore Technologies, and just last month, Liz pushed the envelope supporting a Tech Practice client at the Paris Airshow Top 50 or #PASTop50 as it was seen on social media. This campaign celebrated the 50th anniversary of the airshow by encouraging photo submissions on Twitter and Instagram. Liz emphasized that, “This campaign taught me to take risks, even if you don’t feel 100% comfortable. Sometimes you have to just go for it.”
Hearing about Liz’s experience in Paris sparked my curiosity about what other travel opportunities she has taken advantage of at WE. Little did I know, her trip to Paris was not out of the ordinary, as she recently visited Washington DC and Orlando for client events. Fortunately, Liz has a passion for travelling, and has tailored her career path at WE to focus on global programs when possible, including the Global Exchange program. This program allows employees to travel to WE’s offices all over the world for two weeks and learn about PR and the media landscape in other countries. This year, Liz was one of 12 employees selected, and is off to London this month!Sexy Prom Dresses
Liz Kelley has always been an overachiever. Ever since she made the decision to pursue public relations at The University of Texas at Austin, she has gone above and beyond to make sure she gets what she wants. In Austin, finding a job out of college at an agency is not an easy task, yet Liz landed on her feet as an intern at WE in 2010. Thanks to her go-getter attitude, she took any learning opportunity available during school and was fully prepared for what WE had to offer.view more

It’s finally Friday! Read on for your weekly serving of consumer trends. Brands are catching our attention with major marketing stunts including a giant skull as well as factoring in consumer insights while sitting inside a giant glass box?!

Guerilla Marketing: Movie- and TV-streaming service BlinkBox shocked British beachgoers by placing a dragon skull the size of a London bus on Charmouth beach- and consumers everywhere are talking about it. The skull, although not real, celebrated the availability of the third season of HBO’s Game of Thrones on the service. Sites from Adweek to Mashable to Business Insider are talking about the marketing stunt, while consumers are taking to Twitter to share out their thoughts on the installation. AMC also caught consumer’s attention this week at Comic-Con in San Diego by driving around a giant truck that appeared to be filled with dead bodies as a promotion for the popular TV series The Walking Dead. Fans and the media alike went crazy for the truck posting photos and thoughts online throughout the week. Whether it’s for shock value or a laugh, multiple companies are successfully causing consumer’s to think and talk about their brands through this unexpected method of promotion.view more

Before interviewing Gordie Hanrahan, I did some research and realized that like many others at WE, listing his credentials — Portland native with a major in biochemistry and chemistry from University of Washington and a fondness for sports — was not enough to get a good sense of Gordie as a person. I wanted to get to know the Gordie that showed up to his first tech summit, in 100-degree weather, with a suit and tie, so I decided to dig deeper.
Gordie_Munich
In January, Gordie attended CES, a global consumer electronics and technology tradeshow in Las Vegas, on behalf of Texas Instruments DLP. For the show, TI had decided that it was going to be in an off-floor room but still needed to compel media to visit them.Sheath Prom Dresses uk
Despite the challenges of being “off the beaten path,” the team ended up hitting a home run by retrofitting a Bentley with a TI rear-projected inner touch console. By channeling their creativity, the team secured coverage in the Washington Post, New York Times and with all the top-tier tech bloggers.
“Gordie exudes a certain confidence that comes through with his expertise in taking technical thinking and converting it into usable information for audiences,” said Dan Lantowski, a senior account executive who worked on Texas Instruments DLP with Gordie.view more

Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton might be preparing for having a baby, but her fans are prepping their credit cards in hopes of getting their hands on a pair of her favorite boots.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 31, is routinely spotted wearing a pair of Aquatalia's black Rhumba boots during her various public appearances, including an impromptu polo match in March. The "Kate effect" quickly took hold — and the entire production run sold out in days.
"When the Rhumba was first issued we had no idea it would be such a success, so the production was small," Rena Krasnow, fashion director at Aquatalia, told Fashionista.com.
That was before the duchess. Sales soared — and that's despite the Rhumba's $698 price tag.
It's easy to understand why Kate likes the boots: They're classically fashionable — thanks to their height and stretchy fabric — and durable enough to take Middleton from the polo field to high tea with the Queen.
Her practicality annoys high-fashion designers like Vivienne Westwood and Matthew Williamson, but Krasnow said Middleton's sensible approach to fashion is exactly why women love her.
"In my opinion, the most influential style icons today are women who buy their own clothes and wear what they like, not what they are told," Krasnow told the website, adding that Middleton has shopped with the brand — sans stylist — since 2011.
"Kate Middleton is the quintessential style icon, and her love for the brand comes from a very genuine place. It's an incredible compliment and endorsement."
You can get your hands on a pair now at Aquatalia's website, though you'd better hurry — the boots are sure to sell out when they hit stores later this month.
Molly Sims in Rock & RepublicJennifer Love Hewitt in Rock & Republic
The Fourth of July is probably one of our favorite holidays. After all, it combines all of our favorite things — like cocktails, food, friends and fireworks — into one summer day.
Our one problem? It's so hard to decide what to wear for such an occasion. We want to be both fashionable and patriotic — but those American flag T-shirts don't exactly scream fashion. Luckily, Rock & Republic for Kohl's is helping us out this year with the brand's Lolita Stars & Stripes Denim Shorts($58).
The stars-and-stripes shorts can be dressed up, as Molly Sims did with a black sheer top, gold accessories and wedges. Or they can be dressed down with a white button-up or casual jacket, as done by Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ashlee Simpson.
And if the temps make high fashion hard to handle? Keep it simple with a sheer cropped tank (Forever 21, $9) or a loose-fitting shirred tank ($13).
As for Hewitt, she likely won't be wearing her Rock & Republic shorts this Independence Day. The Client List star is pregnant with her first child with co-star (and new fiancé) Brian Hallisay.
"We're so thrilled and happy to start a family," they said after announcing Hewitt's pregnancy.
We can't wait to check out her maternity style!
Halle Berry at the Champs-Elysees Film Festival in Paris

Halle Berry

Bonjour, Halle Berry! The expectant actress stepped out for the Toiles Enchantees event at the Champs-Elysees Film Festival in Paris wearing this questionable LBD. We all know dressing for a red carpet event while pregnant can be a challenge, but we're not sure this Tramando dress works for Halle.
The bottom part of the dress is super short to cover her baby bump, so it definitely needs a layer over the top or a longer hemline if she were to just wear the first piece. But the contrasting neckline on the top sheer layer makes the whole look appear uneven.
And the uneven, jagged pieces on the bottom part of this dress make it seem like Halle's gown got mauled by a wild animal or stuck in an elevator door. We're just not a fan of the haphazardly hanging pieces of fabric.
The final verdict? We totally understand that the 46-year-old wanted something breezy and comfortable to wear, and black is a great, figure-flattering color to wear while pregnant, but this dress is just a mess. Props to Halle for still rocking high heels while preggers, though!

Carly Rae Jepsen at the amfAR Inspiration Gala

Carly Rae Jepsen

Call your stylist, maybe? Hit singerCarly Rae Jepsen attended the amfAR Inspiration Gala and apparently, she was inspired to look nearly naked for the charity event. Carly chose a Carlie Wong gown that features a short gold underlay with a sheer, embroidered layer over the top.
Perhaps the squeaky clean 27-year-old is trying to go for a more sexy, mature image, but this isn't the way to do it. The sheer layer looks like a tablecloth and the dress appears too long for her petite frame since it's dragging on the floor in front.
Plus, Carly's porcelain complexion looks paler than ever and washed out in this white dress. We think she should try something with some color, other than her bright red locks, of course.
The final verdict? Sorry, Carly, but tonight we're getting over this look on you. There's nothing wrong with going for a more adult style, but this particular one isn't working on you.

The dress shoe has been a staple in women’s closets for as long as we can remember. It is the go-to classy piece of footwear that looks appropriate for a night out, dinner, formal event, or a dance night. The dress shoe comes in all shapes and forms and yet there is one designer from Ladies Outfitters who just does it right; that designer is named De Blossom. Blossom shoes have been part of the Ladies Outfitters shoe family for a long time but now they have come out with a brand new line ofwomen's dress shoes that includes glitter, jewels, and lace; all the classical elements that make a women’s dress shoe shine in the spotlight. The brand new collection comes in their summer line but these pretty heels are definitely not limited to the summer season. These are your all season long type of shoes that will be suitable for your fall wedding season, holiday work parties, or a year full of attending birthday parties. No matter your occasion, no matter the season Blossom dress shoes are ideal for everything. The best part is that most come in our favorite neutral colors like black, white, gold, and silver that matching these jewels will be a breeze that you will look forward to. Can’t wait to dress up? Us either! Let’s show you some new and favorite heels from the Blossom collection that will make you want to buy one in every color!
One women's dress shoe we love that most people may not consider very dressy is the shimmer canvas lace and jeweled peep toe wedge. When you think wedge, dressy may not spring to mind but on the contrary, this wedge is every bit as dressy as they come. The lace on the toe strap is classic and timeless and the glitter wedge and platform makes this shoe sparkle and shine at every turn. When paired with a simple cocktail dress, this wedge becomes everything a dressy pump can be and more. Even paired with casual jeans and tea, this wedge will make your ensemble shine. Celebs have been wearing wedges on the red carpet and to formal events for years so why cant you amp up your nighttime outfit with a comfortable little wedge like Katy Perry did at the 2010 Kid’s Choice Awards with a pair of sparkling wedges from Christian Louboutin.
Another classic women’s dress shoe includes a completely different type of heel, that is the simple strappy stiletto. This shoe has graced women’s feet for generation upon generation. Celebs, royals, politicians, advocates, and everyone in between wear the strappy stiletto. It is classy, simple, and adds so much more to an outfit than any shoe ever can. The shoe is open so it shows off a women’s beautiful feet, it is usually open toe or a peep toe, and it is always dazzling no matter when elements cover it. Our favorite is the jeweled and glitter strappy women’s dress shoe from of course, Blossom. The shoe includes gentle crisscross straps along the foot while it is also covered in jewels and glitter. The silhouette is a perfect one in which anything will match to this heel whether it be a prom dress, a cocktail dress, or a long luxurious gown much like Kate Middleton wore to a black tie dinner at London’s Claridges Hotel. The Duchess wore a Roland Mouret dress and paired it with Jimmy Choo Vamp sandals in shimmering silver. The classic strappy shoe went perfectly with a gown that was so elegant.
Probably the most popular women’s dress shoe (it doesnt hurt thats its a dress shoe for less) is the t-strap sandal. The little sandal that is elegant and yet still allows you to dress up your foot in every which way you please; anywhere from funky, to classy, to a little wild. Our version of the t-strap sandal with a little bling is the sexy studded keyhole loop platform sling back. The shoe includes a t-strap that is completely blinged out and ready to party yet still remains elegant on every level. The platform is a low half inch to give just a little lift and while the heel stands at four inches for a modest lift. This will pair up with quiet literally everything you have in your closet. Kelly Rowland wore a very similar shoe to the 2012 American Music Awards. She paired her taupe suede strappy Gucci sandals with a multi print Naeem Khan dress. The bling on the shoes were a great contrast to eh busy print on the dress.
And so ladies and gentlemen (shopping for the women in your life) that is just a little preview of the Blossom dress shoecollection. We have a whole lot more in one convenient little designer category for you. Stop wasting time and go on and find your ideal women’s dress shoe today, Ladies Outfitters is waiting to guide you on the journey to make your feet fabulous.
As the temperatures rise, your hem line should too. Warm weather is the perfect time to start undressing just a little and begin showing off those amazing legs of yours. Short dresses allow us to do just that and Ladies Outfitters wants you to take full advantage of our short dress category and pick out something nice for yourself. Summer calls for more parties, more events, and many of your friends may be getting ready to walk to aisle which means you need a brand new dress for that party! A short dress is the perfect light weight ensemble to wear and still stay classy. We have dresses for every girl and every style and every taste; everything from sequined, to strapless, short high-low and adorable princess skirts. No matter how you want to wear your short dress, remember that Ladies Outfitters is here to help you find the perfect fit, the perfect style, and the perfect dress. We want to dedicate this blog to showing you three of our favorite styles and how they can work for any occasion you have planned. We also pride ourselves on delivering the best at the lowest prices so all you have to worry about is which beautiful dress to select instead of worrying about silly numbers.
One style we love is the Cinderella sequined sweetheart short prom dress with illusion side panels. This dress is all party and all perfect. Completely sequined from head to short hem line where at the hem line you will find large jewels that go all around. The sweetheart neck line is covered in those same large jewels. At the sides of this mini there are illusion mesh panels that are decorated in sequins for a little fancy peak of skin. This dress is ideal for a summer cocktail party, birthday party (your own preferably), or even a club night with the girls. Paired with some neutral sky high pumps and there is nothing you can’t take on while wearing a short dress like this one.
If you are that type of short dress wearing girl that enjoys a little princess feel during her night then you will love the Cinderella strapless sweetheart jeweled and pleated bodice dress with curly hem and corseted back. The dress is sweet, has all the details that a princess can ever dream of and includes a unique hemline that is delicately tiered and curled. The dress fits to perfection with the help of a corseted back so you can make your bodice as form flattering as you like it. When worn with a sweet pair of glitter pumps and a jeweled clutch you will definitely feel like the true princess you are.
Another princess-esque dress you may fall in lust with is the Cinderella strapless feather jeweled short dress with corset and tulle skirt. This is not your typical princess style mini because this one includes a featured bust that is dazzling and rich and really makes this dress more unique than you have ever seem. The short dress may just be epitomized thanks to the exotic flare of a dress like this. This is perfect for those formal events you may have in school or a themed cocktail party.
One last style we wanted to brag a little about is the high-low. Although many may not consider the high-low dress a short dress, this one deserves the title. The Cinderella bejeweled and sequined high low party dress is every bit a short dress as any other thanks to its super short front hem that dramatically falls in the back. Sequined at every inch and jeweled in addition, this dress is your summer wardrobe’s best friend. The dress comes in a classic black and silver and in addition in a bright turquoise and super hot red and yes every color is just as sequined. Pair this dress up with glitter heels for the ultimate party look and try to remember why everyone keeps starring in your direction.
Ladies Outfitters will dress you up and take you out in all the latest styles and the short dress just happens to be the “it” style to own as the days get warmer and the days get longer.
